  •     You know... It's too hard to get pictures together... I'll post what I have... but... man  never thought it would be so hard to remember to do it at the right times.  Anyway, I don't think anyone really reads this thing anymore anyway because I got 0 comments on my last post.  And I thought it was a pretty good video... oh well...
These last few months have been very busy.  I've had everything from birthdays and weddings to youth camps and a brothers camping trip.  It's been a blast... but
it's left me with very little money.  I'm going to be making more in a couple weeks when I go to Auburn, IN to help with another auction.  I did one in May down in Houston and had a blast. (http://www.wwgauctions.com/) So I've been praying that the Lord would provide me with a way to make some good money while still being able to do all (or at least a lot) of the things I already have planned.  I have a trip to MI coming up at the end of September, (http://vision4living.org/summit.html) a youth retreat at the end of October, another auction beginning of November, right after that is the Xango convention and then in Dec (over new years really) is our family reunion.  So yeah... that's a lot of time off to try to ask for right off the bat.  So I think the only way it will work is if God works it out.  (Duh right?)  So that's what's going on in my world... busy as ever... but still no money.
    Ok... now some pictures

Auction number one of this year... Houston Classic in Houston TX.

Next was my trip to Savannah, GA for a wedding... this was on the way down... then... Camera got put away most of the time... sorry about that.

Then this is the Morgans... Got to spend a couple days there on my way back from GA.  good times.

And that's it... sorry again for the delay... and sorry I don't have more.  Blessings all!

  • Visitors and Traveling

Well I had a great time last week.  Daniel Jackman was here from the 13th to the 19th.  We had a blast doing everything from DC to Lego and even a pizza party.  Jonathan Goff was able to come up for the weekend as well.
He got in Thursday late afternoon so we went in to DC to take in some of the sites at sunset and then at night.  It was really cool.
Then on Friday we went to the zoo fallowed by the air and space museum in the afternoon.  It was a lot of fun!  The zoo was great... in fact it was probably the best it's ever been as far as how many animals were doing things and what not.  We went to the new, "bigger" air and space museum.  It was the first time I had been there.  It has about the same amount of stuff in it I think.... but it's a huge airport hanger so they can fit a lot of full size planes inside.  We saw several fighter jets, Enola Gay, (the plane that dropped the A-bomb) the Concord (super sonic passenger jet) and even a space shuttle. (named enterprise by the way).
Saturday the family had a lot going on so Jonathan was nice enough to drive us around.  We went to Potomac Mills (an outlet mall) where Daniel got a sweet Lego set.  But I'll let him tell you about that.
Then on Sunday we had a bunch of friends over for lunch.
Monday was spent in DC at the spy museum and seeing more of the sites.  Very cool by the way if you don't mind spending some money.
And Tuesday was again spent in DC taking in more sites.  All in all it was a lot of fun.... even if I did get two parking tickets..... work of advice... make sure you read your meter for limits and restriction on parking.... yeah... just "feeding" it doesn't always work.....
Then on Wednesday Daniel left.... EARLY.... we left at about 5:00.... but we were supposed to leave at 4:30..... oops.... and Daniel forgot his cell phone too so we had to go back.... anyway... he ended up missing his flight.  (sorry Daniel)  But he was able to get a direct flight from Baltimore and got home only about an hour or so after he was supposed to.  And.... all for no extra charge!  YAY!!
Well I promised Daniel I would let him post the pictures.... so if you want some you'll have to go to his site....

I'm off tomorrow, (Tuesday) with the rest of my family, for Georgia!!  My Dad needed to use up some vacation time and Jarod might be moving soon.... so we've been trying to get down there for about a month.  Well Zeke is getting dedicated on Sunday so that pushed us over the edge.  We'll be there till Monday.... then I'll post some pictures.    Y'all have a good week.... I know I will.

  • Well my brothers and I went camping last Monday.  It was a lot of fun.... even though it only lasted one night... and it rained on us when we first got there....and it was cold when we woke up in the morning.... and our wood wouldn't burn.... and.... well... somehow we managed to have a lot of fun anyway.    We got there and it was raining so we had to pitch the tent as fast as we could to get our stuff (and our selves) in out of the rain.  We got the tent up and... it pretty much stopped raining not too long after that.  Then we set about trying to get a fire started.... by the way... that's hard to do with wet wood that I think might have been a little green still...    We finally got it burning enough to cook our hot dogs. mmmm tasty...  Then we just kinda hung out and got our "spots" picked out in the tent, but of course we had to roast some marshmallows before we went to bed.  We waited a little to long for that.... the last few sticky treats had to be roasted while someone blew on the fire.... rather funny site... but I didn't get any pictures of it.... I was the one blowing most of the time....   Sleeping had it's own challenges as we found out that the spot that we picked to pitch our tent.... wasn't as good as we thought it was... but then again... when your getting rained on you don't care as much... oh well... we managed.  In the morning we walked around in the woods and "explored" the area a little bit.  We found that we were staying in a beaver's area.... we found several trees that had been "chewed" on as well as a few beaver dams.  That was pretty cool.... we all tried out our "Mr. Beaver" voice from Narnia.    Then it was time to pack up but not before I read a passage out of Psalms to the guys.  First verse I read was "The heavens declare the glory of God...." fitting I thought.  Then we got in the car (and cranked on the heater) and explored some of the rest of the area.  I'm wanting to do some more camping and this looked like a pretty good area for that.  Then I decide to take the boys to Sonic... they haven't had them around our area for very long and it was only the second time going to a Sonic for some of the guys.  So that was fun.  Good times for sure.  Ok... now enough of the story... how about a few pictures.... I don't have very many... I ran out batteries.

  • Well here in VA we have a lot of historical things.... a lot of those things are right here in Fredericksburg... and one of those things happens to be Carl's Ice Cream!!  Carl's has been around for a long time, (now in their 61st year) and this year they were officially recognized as a historical land mark by the department of the interior.  Every year they close sometime in Nov. and then re-open in Feb. and for the past three years we have been trying to be first in line.... but we have been beaten every year by the same couple.  So this year we figured we would show up bright and early..... well.... early anyway, not sure on the bright part.    We got there at 7:00 am.... oh did I mention they don't open 'till 11:00!!!  So yea we were having a great time... some friends showed up about 8:00 so we just hung out for a few hours... taking pictures, making a video and of course playing some games.  In fact it was in the middle of a game of dominoes that a cop showed up and asked "what in the world we were doing???"  We told him we were waiting for Carl's to open.... He threw his head back and laughed... then he said "now I've seen everything... you guys have a nice day"... and drove away.  It was pretty funny.... right after that... the radio van pulled up.  That's when we stopped the dominoes...   Turns out the guy that has the morning show on one of the local stations here in town was doing a "come on down and see me here at Carl's" thing.... or whatever you want to call it.  Anyway, he gave Aaron (one of our friends) a free t-shirt, and payed for our ice cream.... YEAH!!!!  I guess he was doing that for the first however many people that showed up.  So he interviewed us and people would stop and take pictures as they went by.... it was awesome.  Oh... yeah... the reason everyone was taking pictures was because everyone in our group was wearing a letter.  We had enough people to spell out "I *heart* CARL'S!"  It was a lot of fun.  Oh and get this... the couple that had beaten us before were right behind us.... and as it turns out.... this would have been their 10th year in a row to be the first costumers of the year.  So we worked out a deal... we were first in line... but when it came time to get ice cream... we let her and her friend go in front of us to be the first customer.  Radio guy liked that story.    I've got a few pictures here.  I might put more up later but I wanted to get this post up before my sisters did a much better job at telling the story.  (They also have more pictures)

    The day has arrived!!

There we go... a little bit of history...

  • Update....Sorta

Ok so it's been a long time since I've updated.  in fact a new year has ticked by since then.  Oh well.... I guess better late than never right.

So here's what's going on in my life right now.....
I'm a dealer exchange driver for a couple car dealerships in my area...
Working with my Dad on our Xango business...
Trying to update a website for my Mom's family...
    And trying to lose weight...
Some are going better than others.  So I guess there's no real "update" here.  Instead I'll post a few pictures that we took with a camera we got for our computer so we could see our Nephew in GA through video conferencing.
    Enjoy!!
